[poems inspired by the Monday Poetry Stretch at The Miss Rumphius Effect]
This week's challenge is to write Fibs -- poems based on the classic Fibonacci mathematical series. I came up with these two, each based (more-or-less) on my day at work.
sniff,
sigh,
tickle.
fall pollen
invades my poor nose.
i could not stop sneezing today.
why didn't i remember to fill my prescription?
and the following one, a lot less itchy:
ring,
ring,
hello?
I cannot
get work done until
my co-workers stop calling me.

Fibs looks like a fun challenge -- you did a really great job. And the Snickerdoodles look so good in the photo below.
:)
Hi, Clare,
I really did enjoy the fibs. I'll be playing with them some more. And yes, they are good. I'll have to thank the baker again.
I sometimes joke that I could get a lot more work done if the students would leave me alone. I'm a teacher.
I've tagged you for a meme.......but feel fre to ignore if this feels too much like a chain letter!
Happy writing.

Hey, Stacy, I know what you mean. I have a "people" job too. And as I teacher I accept your "homework" and I may not even have to ask for an extension!
Wow, I've written weird haikus before, but I've never written Fibs. I'll have to try it.
They were a lot of fun! If you want to read a bunch of them, try Gregory K's site GottaBook
Check out the list of Fibs-related entries he has highlighted in the right-hand column.
