Haiku 2014-Feb-05

Three today. I had a lot of brain cycles available while shoveling snow.
Feb 5 #1
snow-dimmed lamps
and the last leaf
watch me shovel
Feb 5 #2
I shovel snow
while testing words;
slow at both tasks
Feb 5 #3
salt on icy roads -
the sleeping dogwood dreams
of the beach

Feb 4
a wolf's howl
out by the frozen pond;
I flinch inside.

Feb 3

I didn't mean to participate, but since I have, here are the haiku I have written so far this year. Read more about #nahaiwrimo here: https://sites.google.com/site/nahaiwrimo/home
Jan 31 (I got an early start):
shadows tiptoe
on cubicle walls
five p.m. Friday
Feb 1 (a two-fer):
five - no, six
squirrels romp above
melting snow
Like groundhogs
men crept out to stand
on the ice.
Feb 2:
She steps back and
melting mud pulls her boot;
she slows down.
