Lined Up

Check out Carmi's post for more parallel-themed pictures.

I snapped this picture with my cell phone on my way out of the garage at work this week.

I intended to go back with my camera to get a wider view or a different angle. Alas, work trapped me inside most of the week and by the time I got back to the garage today with my camera in hand, the workers had quit for the day.

On my way to meet my wife I walked past these outside the restaurant next door.

Then as I waited outside my her office I took pictures of the building, of the brick plaza, the blinds in the window, even the stripes on my espadrilles. Then I noticed the hostas in the planter I was sitting on.

I love the parallel veins in the leaves, don't you?

thanks for stopping by and getting 'paralleled' at my post/blog!! =)

i don't think you needed to get another angle on that...uh...BIG machine...is it lifting something?

the stacked chairs are also awesome parallels...as is the plant!

it's amazing how surrounded we are by parallels...and thanks to carmi...we noticed!

You have captured some great examples of Parallelism. The wires on that pulley was a great find. Love the chairs. Would like to own a few like that.

I would never have thought to look at plants for this theme.

Wonderful addition and I know Carmi will be excited as well.

Those parallel lines are EVERYWHERE! Love the simple graphic nature of the first one!

Those are great parallel shots! I especially like the Hosta leaves, they are so beautiful.

And the chairs are good too!

Yes, I like the hostas!

My sister is trying to grow them in here backyard on the mountainside, but there are many insects who consider them delicious.

These are lovely. You really have an eye for seeing those subtle patterns in nature and objects that are beautiful but that other people can easily miss.

These pictures are great because they actually make me stop and truly realise how incredible detailed these seemingly normal or even trivial objects are, those parrallel lines are truly fascinating, would love to know how such a pattern came about, the world is such an extraordinary thing!
