[This week Mad Kane challenges us to write a limerick and/or haiku on "walking." Check out what the others have done here.]
Walking Limerick
As a teen I would walk down the way
with an effort to make my hips sway.
I had heard after school
that the boys though it cool
to watch girls who knew how to sashay.

Haha! I liked that. I don't think I've ever seen sashay in a poem. Fun!
Thanks, Mad Kane.
That's cute! A very nostolgic feeling to it.
By the way, you are a featured poet this week at PWB.
that was good... reminded me when we were young, wild and free... now marilyn monroe in the movie iagara falls.. she had a shashay to die for...
Thanks, Sara! On both counts.
Hello, LittleWing. She did indeed. I must admit I didn't have it in me (though I didn't try for very long).
this is fun. I always write haiku for these prompts, maybe one day I should try a limerick
hi, Juliet. Thanks. Dive it - once you get the rhythm, they come pretty easy, I think.
