Limerick for Dating

[Mad Kane's challenge this week is to write a limerick and/or haiku on the theme dates or dating. Here is one take on it.]

Prescription for a Good Time

All her dates seemed to act just like swine,
when at restaurants they took her to dine.
They slurped and had drool
while they tried to act cool
but she found they looked better with wine.

Hi, Mad Kane. I'm glad you like it.

Hello, Juliet. Thanks, a laugh is just what I was going for.

Excellent! A couple of my friends wrote and performed a limerick for me at our recent spoken word open mic, which happened to fall on my birthday, and after our local satirist had reported we would be mud wresting for the high poet title. He referred to me as "soul crusher."

So: There once was a colleen from Floyd … who didn’t get pissed off or annoyed … but she had a goal … of crushing your soul … behavior that’s best left to Freud.

Also, a friend sent me a whole book of limericks about my home town, Hull Massachusetts, aka as Nantasket. So you can imagine what kind of rhymes that can make.

Michele spun me this way.

I laughed out loud at your limerick. It was so funny and true at the same time...obnoxious dates do get better after wine
