A couple of quotes from Natural Capitalism: Creating the Next Industrial Revolution by Paul Hawken, Amory Lovins, and L. Hunter Lovins
"The laws of Congress and the laws of physics have grown increasingly divergent, and the laws of physics are not likely to yield"
Attributed to author Bill McKibben
"While it is unwise to believe in any one environmental projection of the future, it is important to bear in mind that nature bats last and owns the stadium."
[the title of the post is, of course, based on Brain's question, "Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering?"]

Holy shit...
Here I am thinking about all these mundane things like whether to buy that dress that I like or not and then you go and put my mercenary little self to disgrace....
Hee-hee. But I am, myself, a complicated woman. And you should see the two pairs of sandals I got on sale at the discount shoe place tonight!
And I hope you feel better soon.
I really like both these quotes!
Visitng from Michele's, although she didn't send me...

Hi, N.
Glad you like them - they certainly stuck in my head. Thanks for the visit. I'm browsing your site now. Watch for a comment from me there.
Thanks for your visit and your sharing about your folks and the Cactus....I know what you are talking about..I have posted, in the past, about some of those One-Day-Only Flowers, Day & Night Blooking.....In fact...I have this wonderful plant out in front that faces my Patio and faces the street, too,...near the Bouganvilla that I showed a few days ago....It has an inordinate amount of little fuzzy's that are going to turn into flowers which blook for only ONE NIGHT each year....You miss them open, and you have missed them, completely!
I plan on showing the progress in my next post....Anyway, I find all these plants utterly fadcinating and beautiful...And they never cease to amaze and thrill me!
Do come back when you can!
