[Inspired by Bone and his 3 Word Wednesday prompt - this week the words were care, unexpected, weekend]
Sales Pitch
"We do not care to buy from you,"
I say again into the phone.
The sales calls never seem to end,
I never feel that I'm alone.
There are but two sole weekend days
in which to do what must be done.
The unexpected phone calls mean
there's much less time left to have fun.

Ignore the phone... although that's easier said than done :)
Hi, TC. I actually am pretty good at letting it ring - I think of our answering machine as a butler. And we don't get so many sales calls now that we're on the "do-not-call" registry, but we still get calls from charities and so-called charities.
HAHAHA!! Very good - I hate Sales Calls - I always tell them that when I want something I will go looking for it; they are not deterred. The worst is the Sales Call from a country that does not share your language - arrghhh
Thanks, Truefaith1963. If the caller mis-pronounces my name I say "there is no one here by that name."
Telemarketers! I hate them but, I have learned to not answer the phone. If there is no message for me to call back then I disregard the call altogether. I don't let anyone upset my weekend with my family. Nice job.
Have a nice day.
Michelle
Thanks, Michelle. And good for you!
You hit the nail on the head!
Thanks, Gautami.
